We have to change the head and it's support before the people are heard. Uniting the people is in itself a task because of differences and choosing to only follow party lines of thought. If all had always taken a fresh look at whatever issues came forth, looked into the TYPE of support it was about, avoiding voting a certain way just because the "party" says or did vote that or this way. But because one believes and desires and is willing to support the issue based upon the needs and expression learn from facts evaluated by themselves. Then we might, see change all around. Our present leaders came because we did not believe what they told us they were going to do. And now we have gotten what we have selected. I remember the tears of some that voted for the present governor when they saw what was taking place and being tried. I asked what was wrong. They said they voted for him. I told them he is doing just what he said he would do. They said 'we did not think he would do this!' We have much to learn and watch out for.

I'm very sorry to hear this news. My only comment is that all the states will likely fare better the more they unite for causes like passenger rail. We're trying to strengthen and make more relevent the States for Passenger Rail Coalition and nearly every state can and must become more active with this and other similar causes. We are more formitable united than not. Good luck and hope to hear more from you and others from Ohio who want more than what they are being allowed. John Bell

All Ohio cities would prosper from a revamp of passenger rail through our state. We sit in a good position (between the east coast and Chicago). There would be many jobs created in Ohio as a result. But many of our elected officials pick a good thing apart until there is nothing left but ashes it seems. We could have been on a path to better rail here as we had one of the corridors to start up again (Three C). The dependence on cars, planes and saving fuel was a huge cost to pay.
